How long does the appraisal process take?
Our in-person vehicle appraisal typically takes just 5 to 10 minutes. Once we agree on the value, the transaction paperwork is completed in about 5 minutes, making the process fast and seamless.
What if I still have an outstanding loan on my vehicle?
If your vehicle’s trade-in value exceeds your loan balance, we’ll pay you the difference once we receive the title from your lienholder. If the loan balance is higher than the appraised value, we will require certified funds for the difference at the time of sale.
Should I repair my vehicle before trading it in?
Repairs are not necessary. As a Mercedes-Benz authorized service center, we can complete any needed repairs efficiently and to the manufacturer’s standards—often at a lower cost than independent repairs.
Will I need to visit the DMV or AAA after the trade-in?
No need to worry about post-sale paperwork. Mercedes-Benz of Foothill Ranch handles all ownership transfers, release of liability, and communications with the lienholder on your behalf.
Are there any fees for DMV paperwork or ownership transfer?
There are no additional fees for the DMV paperwork or vehicle ownership transfer. We take care of it all—at no cost to you.
