All-Electric AMG® Performance With Up to 1,153 Horsepower

At the heart of the 2027 Mercedes-AMG® GT 4-Door Coupe is a groundbreaking three-motor drive concept. The new Mercedes-AMG® performance coupe uses three axial flux electric motors, with two positioned at the rear axle and one at the front axle. Together, this advanced system produces up to 1,153 horsepower and 1,475 lb-ft of torque in the Mercedes-AMG® GT 63 4-Door Coupe.

The Mercedes-AMG® GT 55 4-Door Coupe is expected to begin the U.S. arrival sequence later in 2026, followed by the Mercedes-AMG® GT 63 4-Door Coupe in early 2027. With acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in as little as 2.0 seconds and an available electronically limited top speed of 186 mph with the AMG® Performance Package, this vehicle brings supercar-level performance to a practical four-door layout.

Axial Flux Motors: A New Benchmark for AMG® Engineering

The 2027 Mercedes-AMG® GT 4-Door Coupe is the first series-production all-electric vehicle to use axial flux motor technology. These compact, high-output motors are designed to deliver impressive continuous performance, allowing the vehicle to call on its power repeatedly and consistently.

Unlike conventional electric motors, axial flux motors package their key components in a thin, disc-like arrangement. This supports strong power density, flexible packaging, and the kind of repeatable performance expected from a Mercedes-AMG® vehicle. The result is an electrified sports car engineered not only for immediate acceleration, but also for sustained AMG® driving intensity.

AMG® High Performance Electric Battery

The all-new Mercedes-AMG® GT 4-Door Coupe also introduces an AMG® High Performance Electric Battery inspired by learnings from Formula 1® and Mercedes-AMG® High Performance Powertrains. The 800-volt battery uses directly cooled cylindrical cells designed to support strong output, rapid charging, and high performance stability.

Direct cooling helps maintain consistent cell temperatures during demanding acceleration, recuperation, and charging. The battery system is engineered to support a charging capacity of more than 600 kW when connected to compatible charging infrastructure. Under ideal conditions, the Mercedes-AMG® GT 4-Door Coupe can add approximately 460 kilometers of WLTP range in as little as 10 minutes, while a 10 to 80 percent charge can take as little as 11 minutes.

AMG®FORCE Sport+ Brings V8 Character to Electric Performance

Mercedes-AMG® is preserving emotional driving character in the electric era through the AMG®FORCE Sport+ drive program. This mode is engineered to deliver an authentic AMG® V8-inspired experience with sound, haptic feedback, simulated gear changes, and an adapted AMG® driver display.

Using more than 1,600 sound files, the intelligent real-time sound system responds to driving style, acceleration, gear-change simulation, and vehicle behavior. The result is an immersive AMG® performance atmosphere that helps connect the driver to the vehicle in a distinctly emotional way.

AMG® Performance 4MATIC®+ fully variable all-wheel drive continuously distributes torque between the front and rear axles, while torque vectoring helps direct power between the rear wheels. Active rear-axle steering can improve low-speed maneuverability and enhance high-speed stability. Available AMG® ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL air suspension with active roll stabilization further supports both dynamic handling and long-distance comfort.

The exterior of the Mercedes-AMG® GT 4-Door Coupe is shaped for athletic presence and aerodynamic precision. A long, low-slung hood, dynamic fastback profile, steeply raked windshield, muscular rear shoulders, and distinctive diffuser all contribute to its dramatic AMG® silhouette.

Available AEROKINETICS Venturi Flow elements in the underbody can deploy to help manage airflow and increase downforce. A standard retractable rear spoiler adjusts automatically according to driving conditions, while available active aerodynamic elements help balance efficiency, cooling, and high-speed stability.

Inside, the all-new Mercedes-AMG® GT 4-Door Coupe blends sports car focus with grand touring refinement. The cockpit features a 10.2-inch driver display and a 14-inch central multimedia display in a seamless glass design, along with a standard 14-inch front passenger display.

Newly developed front seats provide strong lateral support, while available AMG® Performance seats add an even more performance-oriented appearance.
